About the Race
Transcontinental Race is one of the toughest ultra-endurance races in the world.
Cyclists ride solo, navigating the route themselves while passing mandatory checkpoints and control points. We must carry everything we need (spare clothes, food, bike equipment, electronics, etc.). Food is purchased along the way. This is a fully self-supported race, where no external support is allowed. Riders can participate solo or as part of a "pair."
The distance depends on the chosen route between checkpoints, typically ranging between 3800 km and 4500 km.
This year’s race covers approximately 4800 km.
Start:
SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA, SPAIN, July 27, 2025, at 8:00 PM
Finish:
CONSTANTA, ROMANIA, August 14, 2025, at 11:59 PM

The Transcontinental race is a single stage race in which the clock never stops. Riders plan, research and navigate their own course and choose when and where to rest. They will take only what they can carry and consume only what they can find. Four mandatory control points guide their route and ensure a healthy amount of climbing to reach some of cycling’s most beautiful and historic monuments.
